ABOUT US

Caring for Haitian Orphans with AIDS, or CHOAIDS, is a nonprofit founded by Marie Denis-Luque. On her quest to discover a research site in Haiti for her studies in public health, she met a young girl at Grace Children's Hospital. After hearing the girls story, Marie's heart was moved.  Five months later, CHOAIDS was born in December of 2003.

Nineteen years and counting, there are now over thirty children who call CHOAIDS home.

Mission

We strive to enhance the quality of life for children who are orphaned and HIV positive through education and care in a family-centered environment.

Vision
  • To create a safe and friendly home environment for children.

  • Treatment for children in our care.

  • To eliminate the stigma in care delivery to persons living with HIV/AIDS.

  • To promote CHOAIDS as the standard of care for HIV+ neglected and abandoned children.
