Financial Relief | A Letter To Our Donors

Since 2003, CHOAIDS has been caring for orphaned children living with HIV in Haiti. You have always been behind us in the face of natural disasters, health crises, societal changes, government corruption, and gang infiltration. We thank you for being on this journey with us. We are writing this letter to share our current financial standing, hoping to have you help us finish this year strong. As you know, our organization heavily depends on individual donations. What follows summarizes our finances.

  • In 2021, CHOAIDS donors contributed $178,308

  • Our 2022 budget is $166,454

  • Through June 2022, we raised $64,267

  • At the current pace, we will end the year at $128,534, a $37,920 deficit

  • CHOAIDS does not have enough savings to cover the $37,920 difference between the budget and projected annual revenue

Whether you are a past donor, current donor, or total stranger to our cause, we ask you to help us share our CHOAIDS story, the children's stories, and our current financial need.

CHOAIDS is home to 25 orphaned HIV-positive children with nowhere else to go, no one to care for them, and no access to the healthcare they desperately need to survive.

CHOAIDS provides food, school, housing, and safety to children with no other options. The monthly cost for each child in our care is approximately $500. We recently welcomed a three-year-old boy who has yet to walk and expect at least two more children before school starts this fall.

Without a significant increase in financial donations within the next three months, CHOAIDS will quickly deteriorate. We are asking those who can help to contribute using the link below. Just $50, $25, or even $10 per month can make an impactful difference in our children's lives. Making a financial contribution is not the only way to help. Sharing our Facebook posts, website (, and our story with others will help us spread the word. You may not know it, but someone in your 'circle' could significantly improve the life of a child in our care.

If you have questions about how your donation may be used or how else you can help, please respond to this email and we will put you in touch with one of our stateside Board Leaders for an in-person conversation. Thank you for your consideration and your support.
